William Jennings Bryan was three times the Democratic Party nominee for Presidency of the United States. He was a Member of Congress from Nebraska for two terms, and served as the 41st U. S. Secretary of State under President Woodrow Wilson.

After the War, Rufus Lillard located to Los Angeles, CA, where he was in the real estate business. He later returned to Shawnee, OK and in 1934 founded the Lillard Pipe and Supply Company which sold oil field drilling and pumping equipment. Rufus Lillard passed in 1973.
